Versilia's beaches
Viareggio: Along the Riviera, Viareggio is one of the most famous locations. Not only for the wonderful sandy beach but also for the carneval with masked pageants and enormous papier mache allegory floats and puppets that parade along the "Passeggiata a mare"
Torre del Lago Puccini: lays between the lake of Massaciuccoli and the Tirrenean Sea, in the area between the Alpi Apuane and the Park of Migliarino-San Rossore-Massaciuccoli. Since 1930 a very important Lyric Season dedicated to Giacomo Puccini takes place here every summer
Lido di Camaiore: This is the locality that became famous thanks to its seaside, with its fine golden sand and for the inner land.
Marina di Pietrasanta: Sea, beaches, pine woods, and mountains, all together in just a few kilometres, this is the most various and marvellous landscape for a peaceful rest.
Forte dei Marmi: Very appraised by tourists from all over the world, Forte dei Marmi’s meeting point is the famous wharf of the Cinquecento where marble of the surrounding Apuane mountains is loaded and shipped.
Marina di Vecchiano: this is definitely one of the last uncontaminated part of the seaside. Here you can admire one of the most beautiful ecosystems.
